![]() He is very sure of his overwhelming beauty, ha, ha! I call it the "lizard who knows he is loved" look. ![]() So glad you have Tad! They are remarkable creatures!ĭezi says, welcome to the wonderful world of Beardies. Most will slow their growth at around a year, but each one is a bit different-DeziLu is over three years and still growing! (But he is not the usual at 24" he is much bigger than most and it is uncommon for them to keep growing actively for three years.) So, keep offering daily salads, but do not be afraid to give as much protien as Tad desires. They are good about knowing what they need. It is hard to say, but my guess is that Tad (love his name) is a younger adult, and still growing, so he simply prefers his protien. you will find much info on this site about diet and the need for UVB lights, etc. As long as they are growing and shedding often, they should have live protien daily, and special attention paid to loghts, heat, UVB, calcium supplements, in order to avoid the dreaded MBD-metabolic bone disease. Many beardies do not like salads, until around a year old, when their active growth slows. Welcome to the forum! Tad Cooper looks like healthy, happy beardie! Nice set up, too. Probably will adopt a baby beardie in November, I want to experience raising a baby beardie and love him/her like I love my Tad Cooper & Family. ![]() We also have an Albino Corn Snake and two cats. We love him so much and it's being a wonderful experience. His best friend is our male cat Cayde (we always supervisor them and the cat doesn't play with him, he just stalks him, gives him head bumps and lays down beside him when Tad is sunbathing).Īnd all of us couldn't be happier. So I decided to give this fellow a bigger and loving home. ![]() We made our research before getting one and we prepared everything, while on the exotic pet store to get a baby, the staff introduced us to an adult beardie that was left there by his previous owner that couldn't take care of him anymore. After months asking for one and months without asking, I finally had the opportunity to adopt one. I always wanted a reptile and when I saw a baby beardie about 2y ago I always wanted one, but the fiancé didn't like the idea. #Tad cooper tvI named him Tad Cooper, I know it's cheesy but not only I like the name but it's one of our favourite TV Shows (Galavant). My fiance and I rehomed an adult beardie (age unknown) in March and I super love him. ![]()
